RAM55 H
Production Mixer
With a batch payload capacity of up to 924 lbs (420 kg), the RAM55 H's digitally controlled, multiple processing capabilities multiply RAM's value through direct and easy scale-up from bench development to larger scale batch production of energetic and hazardous materials.
The RAM55 H's deployment at the McAlester Army Ammunition Plant (MCAAP) — the Department of Defense's premier bomb and warhead loading facility — stands as one of the most compelling proof points in Resodyn's history. McAlester expects the RAM 55 H to deliver 6x–10x capacity increases and 3x–7x cost reductions in its ammunition production facilities.

RAM 55 H™ — Large-Scale Energetics Batch Production | Up to 924 lb (420 kg)
The RAM 55 includes both temperature and vacuum control. The temperature control system covers 302 degrees F (150 degree C) to 34 degrees F (1.1 degree C). The vacuum system brings down to 29 inHg. The system has both on-board and remote control options for maximum flexibility. Thanks to the continuity of the RAM process, it can easily perform mixes developed at the lab scale with minor or no changes.

The Biggest, Baddest Mixer On The Planet
Central to creating huge savings for the tax payer and the Army is the RAM55 H's capability for near-net-shape and mix-in-case production. Manufacturing plastic bonded explosives (PBX) into nearly final shapes — near-net-shape — instead of machining from cylindrical shapes reduces costs by two-thirds, saving over $1,000 per part. By mixing energetics directly into final-form containers or near-net-shape molds, the RAM55 H eliminates the dangerous and costly steps of post-cure machining, material transfer, and purging that plague conventional energetics manufacturing. The RAM55 H is housed within a 5.5-acre building on the MCAAP campus, a testament to the scale and strategic importance of this installation.
Continuous Acoustic Mixing (CAM) systems are also configurable for the RAM55 H, enabling high-throughput acoustic mixing of powders, pastes, and liquids in a non-stop production environment.
