Production Mixer - Continuous

The RAM 5 H delivers better results, improved efficiency, and new product opportunities at a larger payload capacity. Each RAM 5 H configuration matches the right processing functions with critical processing demands, exceeding the performance of traditional technologies, and is certifiable to Class I Div I, Class II Div I, and other standards.

Key processing capabilities include mixing and processing 80 lb (36 kg) or more of any combination of solids and powders from nano-scale and up, liquids and gases, and viscous and slurry materials — as well as coating, milling, and grinding. All housing and enclosure materials are sealed, purged 304L stainless steel, preventing entry of processed materials into the enclosure, and redundant ground paths mitigate static charge build-up. Remote control panel operation is available from up to 2.5 miles (4 km).

The RAM5 H is a production-level machine, able to create large amounts of material. Designed with both on-board and remote control, it has flexibility of operation. The optional temperature and vacuum ranges are the same as seen with the OmniRAM and LabRAM II H, allowing for continuity of production. Thos ranges are 302°F (150°C) to 32°F (0°C) and down to 10 Torr.

This machine can mix explosive filler directly in munitions, eliminating the dangerous and complicated explosive pouring process.

Transformative For Near-Net-Shape Production

The RAM 5 H has also proven itself as a transformative tool for near-net-shape production of plastic bonded explosives (PBX) and other energetics - mixing and casting directly into final or near-final geometry containers, dramatically reducing the cost and hazard exposure associated with post-cure machining.
