LabRAM I

Laboratory Mixer

The LabRAM I is where lab mixing problems end. Designed for batch mixing, with a 1.1 lb (0.5 kg) payload capacity, and up to 100g acceleration, the LabRAM I is a significant upgrade to bench mixing that scales easily on larger ResonantAcoustic® Mixers. The LabRAM I can handle any combination of solid/powder, liquid/gas, and viscous/slurry materials at the nanoscale and above, and also offers coating, milling, and chemical reactor capabilities. Its adjustable container holder accepts a wide range of vessel types.

The Go-To Bench Mixer. Faster, Smarter, Cleaner.

The LabRAM I is a batch mixer ideal for laboratory research. It features a robust on-board digital control system with optional vacuum mixing functions and temperature monitoring, all with a maximum noise level of 70 dB. Users can develop, store up to 100 recipes for permanent recording of operations and measurement results, with real-time monitoring of mixing parameters and a fully integrated operating system with easy-to-use touchscreen interface and data download capability.

With a small footprint, it fits into research facilities anywhere. The enclosure dimensions are 26"H x 19"W x 26"D, with a weight of 155 lbs. (70.3 kg), and it runs on 100–120 / 200–240 VAC (50–60 Hz), single phase power.

The same technology used in the LabRAM I is found in Resodyn's larger RAM units, making scale-up to pilot and production phases seamless

Sound Energy Powers a New Class of Laboratory Mixer

Slow, inconsistent mixes? The LabRAM I features up to 100g (which is over 10x faster than a fighter jet) of acceleration at 60 Hz per second for ultra-fast, uniform, and repeatable processing and was designed for bench-scale batch development. Rather than relying on impellers or blades, RAM technology employs the power of acoustic waves to create intense vibrations within a vessel holding the materials to be mixed. These vibrations generate localized pressure fluctuations and induce acoustic mixing, agitating materials at a particle level through alternating pressure waves that break apart agglomerates and disperse particles and liquids, resulting in the most homogeneous mixture available anywhere in the world.
